Single coil in a humbucker slot
This is not a humbucker or a P90, it's a Single Coil In A Humbucker Slot, to be more precise, this is a strat pickup in a humbucker slot. If you'd like to fit a stratocaster pickup in a humbucker slot then you'll need a 52mm humbucker baseplate, some spare humbucker bobbins and some humbucker mounitng screws.
If you're finding your humbucker neck pickup too dark and want the strat chime from a humbucker then this is probably the way to go.

I love the rant on the aesthetics...and then "I played it and it is really great!" It just proves the point that guitar players listen and think with their eyes more than their brains, fingers and ears. I get that it needs to look appealing, but many people like headless guitars (looks and ergonomics) and they aren't something new (Steinberger did it long ago). The funny thing is that other brands saw the impact Strandberg was having and started making headless models (Ibanez, Kiesel, etc.). That is the point - innovation moves the product and the market forward. No one wants to buy new cars with giant fins on the back and gigantic chrome bumpers any longer. If you want to see even more innovation, look at the Abasi Concepts guitars - very cool, forward-thinking stuff. You have to shed the Luddite attitude!

I've got this same model guitar in the same color. Love the pickups and really love the roasted maple neck. Also bought the LE Player Tele with the CS Nocaster pickups and a roasted maple neck, which is my profile pic.

Wow are you still going to see this comment? Brass or tusks, the high E string is the place needed for loudness and sustain, and what about a stainless zero nut or brass? Brass bridge? Makes me think of the telecaster bright tone, what about a fixed tusk’s bridge? I know but what the hell we have our whole life to do this once done it last forever here right, you could give future guitarist the best knowledge ever needed tone is the shizz of the og’s so many combinations, endless

When you die the top next time, watch some PRS factory videos. They soak the top with colorless solvent first. This way the top does not absorb so much die and is not so dark. Second thing - the color is more consistent. It also helps much when you do some gradient stuff, because it allows the colors to blend in a stable way. In short words - the top must be wet enough when you work on it. If you die the top dry, the paint will just stop where it was. The problem with dying the wood is that is have some areas that takes a lot of the paint and when you firstly fill it with solvent, it will still allow the paint to soak but just not as much. You will clearly see the difference.

Would be a no brainer if they had not decided to ruin the top, especially near the pickup. If that would look relic, I could accept, but it doesn't, at all. It looks like a really bad paint job ir. Too bad.

There is spray graphite available which might help you. Sometimes to trace I like to do a light spray like a stencil on the corners and just wipe it off whatever im tracing since its dry, but it would be pretty easy to just spray it on tissue paper.

Use Alodyne to prepare the back of an aluminium bridge. Just file off the oxyde with sandpaper and treat it. It keeps it conductive. Aerospace stuff.

My squier strat affinity has good tuners, no need for any upgrade. I changed the nut to a bone nut. Mine is from 99 made in Yuka (taiwan) and its neck is just right for my hands (compared to some much more expensive guitars. Cheap guitars can be quite nice!

The problem with "Gibson" switches is that the massive knob stands so high up off the body. A guitar that would otherwise fit in a lot of cases won't if it has that one problem. Blade switches are a nightmare to route for, though. One option would be using a plate of some sort. Life from an Ibanez S or a Jaguar.

Is this better than the Line 6 POD GO? There is a huge Line 6 community that we share/ buy presets. I wonder if Valeton has that huge fan base. I kinda like the XLR so I don't need to go to a DI Box during our Worship / Church live band.

This wasn't a comparison, just a " I prefer roasted " with not much explanation. You don't seem too familiar with it to be honest. It's like an intro. Also it's a cheaper method, that's important to know when buying a product, it's not THE feature one should focus on...it's the overall finish. Roasted wood is a method used to speed up the natural process of the wood drying. Which takes years and years. A manufacturer could use the cheapest young wood and bake it. It also makes it more brittle. I wouldn't trust Harley Benton that much for the long term, while others may use decent wood to begin with. My point is : it is not "superior" all by itself.
